We have been together for 14 years and share a love of the outdoors, animals and adventure. Meghan grew up in Goderich, Ontario before moving to Chris' hometown of London for university. Before discovering our passion for pet care, Chris spent 10 years working for the local hospitals in London as a Porter and Union Representative. Meghan is a graduate from Western University and previously worked in the sporting industry as a General Manager at Centrefield Sports for 10 years.
Six years ago, we decided to combine our interests together and opened Forest City Pet Care. During that time we were fortunate to meet and care for dogs of all kinds, sizes and temperaments. We have also looked after cats of all types and many other animals. We absolutely loved taking care of all the pets and helping families around London! We learned quite a lot - both about those we were looking after and ourselves. We were thrilled with our pet care journey, but still had dreams of living on the ocean.
In 2019 we came to New Brunswick for a vacation and fell in love with the Saint John area. Not long after, we made the difficult but exciting decision to train our friend Tasha to take over Forest City Pet Care and move East. We found the perfect house in Pokiok, arrived in August 2020 and have been thoroughly enjoying making Saint John our new home ever since!

If you are away for an extended period we will take care of your homestead and your property to whatever your preferences. May that be watering your plants, bringing in your mail, checking a toilet or tap isn't leaking or seeing if you closed the garage door, we can do it!
When you live a busy life or need some vacation time, it is hard to consistently provide the attention and care that your pets crave. With over 6 years of happy pets and satisfied owners, you can rely on us to care for your loved ones when you're away, the same way you do!

Service consists of Meghan and/or Chris going on a walk or hike with your furry friend. We will make sure your companion gets whatever level of activity you specify. May that be a quick potty break and some social/play time or an extended tour of their favourite area. We will also make sure your dog has fresh water, food (if required), play and lots of love! We only take out one family of dogs at a time so that we can focus all our attention on your loved ones.
A quick drop in for potty break or short walk. Perfect for puppies or older dogs.
Includes putting on/taking off any clothes or boots and any cleaning/drying of your dog afterwards.

We will pick up your dog(s) and go with them to their favourite hiking spot in or out of area. We love hiking and we know your pooch does too! Price may vary depending on distance traveled, length of hike and day of the week or holidays.

While you are away at work or on vacation we will come to your home to take care of your furry, feathered or scaly friends! We will customize a care plan specific to your needs. We will make sure they have fresh water & food as well as clean litter, tank or pen. We will socialize with your pet at whatever level you specify. May they be shy and just want to hide or super friendly and want to play with their favourite toy, we will do whatever makes both you and them as happy as possible.

Is your pet not a fan of being home alone or going to a kennel? Look no further... Meghan or Chris will spend the evening with your companion where they feel the most comfortable. Home!
Fully customizable overnight visit starting around 6-9PM until 6-9AM. We will make sure your pet has all the comforts of their normal routine (dinner, breakfast, medication or supplements) as well as some extra attention, exercise (evening and morning walks) and company through the evening while you're away.

If you are away for extended periods of time we can bring in the mail, turn lights on or off, close or open curtains/blinds and do a general check on your household for your home insurance policies needs.
